As a nude photographer based in Nice, on the French Riviera, I approach every session as quiet, deliberate work, closer to sculpture than to fashion. The body becomes form, light and shadow. Nothing but light and skin.
Who it is for
People who want to see their body the way light sees it, without flattery and without judgement. Models and people who have never done this, in equal measure: no experience is needed, and there is no ideal shape for this work. What matters is wanting to do it. If the idea has been on your mind for a while, that is usually the sign.
How it goes
Your boundaries come first. We define them before the session, from implied to full nude, and they are never questioned on set. On the day, we take our time. I direct every pose and I take care of the light; we look at the images together as we go, so you always know what is being made. You can stop, pause or say no at any moment, without explanation. The set is closed: only you, me, and someone you trust if you wish. And there is always a moment when the nudity stops being the subject, when you forget the camera and simply inhabit the light. That is the photograph. All that preparation does not lock anything in. If an idea comes to you during the session, say it. We look at each other, we say “Come on, let’s do it!”, and we try it right away. Some of my best photographs were made that way.
Practical details
- Duration — about 2 to 3 hours, at an unhurried pace.
- Location — a studio or a private interior with controlled light; occasionally a secluded outdoor spot at first light. Nice, the French Riviera, or elsewhere.
- Wardrobe — very little: a robe for breaks and a few simple pieces. Avoid tight clothing on the day, so the skin carries no marks.
- Privacy — the strictest. Your images are stored in a private, password-protected gallery, and their use is governed by the image-rights agreement we sign together. Many nude sessions remain entirely private.
